Dinner for Four UNDER $10

I have been reading a lot of food magazines about making dinner at home on the cheap. Great!! Way to go. Here are a few suggestions--- Gazpacho. Tomatoes, cucumbers and bell peppers are all over the markets. This soup is easy to prepare and so healthy. You can throw everything into a blender, chill and have a great meal with some crusty bread.

Second, Rigatoni with Spicy Italian Salami-----Here again we start with cherry tomatoes, olive oil, salami, garlic olives capers, parsley and the pasta. A great glass of red wine---- and dinner again for under $10. for four.

Good eating

Bluffton Farmer,s Market

Thanks to everyone who came to the Farmer,s Market yesterday in the cloudy and rainy weather.
My customers were very enthusiastic over my homemade whole wheat bread, herbs and biscotti.
Needless to say they were my best sellers.

The market is a wonderful place to bring the kids in the afternoon to see all the wonderful, colorfully fruits and vegetables of the season. Listen to the music and get the taste of some really good food.

Also, met some hard working farmers, chicken and egg grower, and the nice people at the local Greek church who were my tent mates.

Thanks again to all my followers and I hope you enjoy the bread. See you all again next week at the market. Still when good eating.

More Cucpake Pictures

More cupcakes and the cupcakes surrounded by the larger cake. I think the best part of cupcakes is that you don't have to share. I made vanilla and chocolate cupcakes with various colored butter cream icing. I made them in the more traditional way with nothing in the center. They were a huge hit at the wedding! People kept asking for more!!

My 1st Ad in the Hilton Head Monthly

Here is my first ad in the Hilton Head Monthly. The fish is from a local fisherman and the green beans came from my garden. I had a great time making the food for the ad but even better was seeing the picture in a real magazine!!

Vegetable Soup

Sometimes even in the summer, nothing is better than soup. It tastes even better the next day. I made this with fresh vegetables from my garden. It tastes even better knowing that I helped grow everything that I am eating!

Breadven

Nothing better than homemade bread right from the oven with butter!! Yummy!!

Bergdorf Goodman Table Setting

Inspiration!! Who doesn't love a beautiful table setting.

My Blueberry Tart

My first blueberry tart of the season! So yummy someone ate some before the picture could be snapped!! :)

Challah Bread

cupcakes...

I have been reading up on recipes for cupcakes for an upcoming wedding reception. I believe old fashion cupcakes with butter cream frosting are truly the way to go. I understand ones love for twinkes or such but cupcakes are meant to be simplistic with vanilla or chocolate cake with a rich butter cream frosting and sprinkles. I am all for a good Twinkee but not when I want a cupcake. I promise to take pictures of the cupcakes for the blog.
